This is a great hang out spot if you like good beer. They have a HUGE selection of beer on tap, and somehow, everything I tried there was fresh! The spot got a nice, more of a relaxed, ambiance with a patio area and free games like darts, ping pong, board games, etc. I think it's perfect if you are hanging with a group, not too much if you are trying to meet other people. They also have food vendors that come out, I believe on weekends, but either way you can bring your own food as well.

Glendale tap is definitely a great spot if you enjoy beer, they have a great selection of craft beer including local beers as well - when you first walk up it looks likes a small whole in the wall bar but it's surprisingly big - there's so many cool antiques covering the entire bars walls the establishment is very clean and dimly lit which created a really cool atmosphere. The bartender was super friendly, helpful and extremely knowledgeable about the beers. They have an outdoor patio where I seen some ppl with there dog so it's pet friendly 10/10 - They also have a taco stand on Friday night and let me tell you it was amazing I had to get their card, They also had a game room with a ping pong table, darts and a ton of board game - this place is definitely a Gem !!!! I will be coming back % - street parking - would suggest ubering -

After a long weekend working back to back I needed to replenish with some cold brews.Alex was a sweet heart letting us know of the games we can play! I had to have more than 1 drink of the Engkanto brew of Honey Ale imported from the Philippines! There is also food trucks available for some smash burgers and specialty fries!

Impressive is an understatement when describing Glendale Tap's list of bottles, cans, and draft beers. The selection of beers is huge. I was able to find a very rare hazy ipa on tap, a pleasant surprise to say the least. I love the dimly lit, casual vibe. Parking nearby is pretty tough and limited to street parking, but it's worth the minor hassle if you're in the mood for great craft beer. They also had some nice stouts available by the pour. These beers aren't cheap, but it may be the only opportunity to ever try them. The bartender was social, and I could tell this is a spot where locals hang out. I would too if I lived in the area.

I discovered this spot about a year ago while casually browsing Yelp and Google Maps for new bars and/or breweries in the Glendale area just to check out. My normal go-to's have been predominantly Tavern on Brand, The San Fernando and The Roost on this side of town thus far and I just wanted another alternative for when I really just want beer and a spot that's relatively quiet. I had been somewhat apprehensive about visiting this spot because of the more recent negative reviews at the time where a few Yelpers and Google reviewers had mentioned that the spot is anti-Republican and one or two bartenders that were racist towards certain ethnicities. Being a long-time Yelper myself, I'm well aware that there are folks that post reviews just to smear a business for a perceived slight or unsatisfactory service. You can usually sort of tell those types of reviews over others where it presents the business in a more balanced light. Anyway, having said all of the above I eventually popped into the Glendale Tap late one Saturday at around 11pm back in late Sept 2023--figuring by this time, the majority of the bar-hopping night crowd should have moved on to other bars or venues and sure enough, it was practically dead--save for the outdoor crowd and a few patrons inside playing pool. There were two male bartenders that night. One was a taller, skinny white guy. He seemed nice enough. And the other one that night was an older gentleman hailing from El Sereno which makes us somewhat close neighbors as I'm from Lincoln Heights and we bonded over a conversation about 'the hood'. It was this gentleman that made this spot a rather enjoyable night for a night cap after a cardio workout at Round 1 Burbank playing Dance Dance Revolution and Pump It Up. It's a small-ish bar on the inside and is dimly lit. There is a TV that's awkwardly placed on one corner of the space high up against that corner (and you have to tilt your head in an unnatural position to see that TV) and then another TV that's placed on the 'end of the bar' closest to the restrooms. No TV's line the other wall where there are these mini booths with tables and chairs. Side note, there's technically 'two' entrances and a lone door that's an exit only. One way to enter the bar is 'from the back' where they have the outdoor seating. The other is on the corner of San Fernando Rd, a non-descript heavy wooden door. Just give it a good yank and it'll eventually open. Restrooms are located closest to the 'back door' next to the lone pool table and that glass case with canned beers and beer kegs from the breweries that they source their beers from. They have a digital jukebox. Download the AMI Music app from your smartphone, add a credit card, load up credits and play to your hearts content. Enough said. Ambiance. It's a small bar. I wouldn't say it's intimate but definitely meant for smaller groups or one-on-one, than larger groups but they have outdoor seating for larger groups. Beer selection is extensive. The bartender will give you a booklet with a long list of beers: blond ales, dark beer, pilsners, sours, you name the variety and chances are, it's probably on there. It's a constantly rotating selection based on what the bartenders told me so just because it's there one weekend, might not mean it'll be there again the next weekend. It's probably not as extensive as the Arts District Brewery or Angel City Brewery in Little Tokyo but for such a small bar, it's pretty good. And oh yea, make no mistake, this place is beer only No wine or liquor as far as I know. All in all, I like it enough that I would include it in my rotation of bars that I would stop by after a cardio workout. (It bears noting here that there's another brewery next door called Paperback Brewery that closes early. Don't confuse that brewery for this brewery because the space they occupy are so close between the two that it might seem like they are the same but they are totally two distinct businesses).
